AOL Browsers and Secure Logins
Thursday, 23 March 2006

AOL's custom browser uses a number of web proxies to request web pages in an effort to speed up the web browsing experience. To the destination site it appears as though each successive request is coming from different computers instead of one.

Some secure sites track your IP address to prevent "eavesdroppers" from breaking into your account while you are using it. Such sites will not work with AOL's browser.

As a work around, you should use an alternate browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer instead. Then check the settings and ensure there is no proxy server setup.
